EOS Connect
Plans your home battery against live electricity prices and your own solar forecast — automatically, and without an external optimization server.

What EOS Connect does, what it needs, and whether it fits your setup. About five minutes.

Developer guideWhat it does
EOS Connect learns what your house normally uses, forecasts the day ahead, works out the cheapest way through it, and then drives your battery to follow that plan.
- Collects your consumption history to predict the day, plus the values that only matter right now — battery charge, whether a car is charging — from Home Assistant, OpenHAB, EVCC or your inverter.
- Forecasts solar yield and electricity prices for the next 48 hours.
- Optimises the next 24–48 hours with the built-in solver.
- Controls the battery inverter to match — and shows you why on a live dashboard.
No external optimization server needed. The built-in
local_evopt solver is the default. An
external Akkudoktor EOS or EVopt
server stays available as an option if you prefer one.
Quick start
Install, open the web UI on port 8081, and the setup wizard takes it from there.
Home Assistant
Add the ohAnd/ha_addons repository and install the EOS Connect
add-on. Recommended if you already run HA.
What it works with
Inverters
Fronius GEN24, Victron, and anything reachable through Home Assistant or EVCC.
Solar forecasts
Akkudoktor, Open-Meteo, Forecast.Solar, Solcast, Victron, EVCC — or your own time series.
Electricity prices
Tibber, smartenergy.at, Stromligning, EVCC, a fixed daily curve, or your own series. Feed-in from Elpris, EPEX Spot or EVCC.
Battery control
SOC-aware charge curves, temperature protection, and honest per-kWh costing of what is already stored.
EV charging
EOS Connect reads what EVCC is doing and plans the house battery around it, so the two stop competing for the same cheap hour. It does not take over your wallbox.
Smart home
Home Assistant MQTT auto-discovery, OpenHAB via the MQTT binding, and a REST API for everything else.
