Prices
What a kilowatt-hour costs you and what you are paid for one — the two numbers every optimizer decision is weighed against.
What this is for
- I am on a dynamic tariff and want the plan built on tomorrow's actual prices.
- I have a fixed tariff and want my real rate used, surcharges included.
- I am paid for what I export and want that weighed against self-consumption.
Everything here is price.*. Both the import price and the feed-in
tariff are configured on this page, because the optimizer needs the pair to decide
anything.
What you pay, and what you are paid
The import price can come from a market source, from a fixed rate, or from a 24-value array you supply; the adder and multiplier turn a raw market price into the figure on your bill. The feed-in half is configured the same way, separately, because the two rarely come from the same place.
Prices from your own source
With price.source set to timeseries, EOS Connect fetches
the curve from an entity or URL you name, in the shared array format. The format,
ready-made Home Assistant templates and a way to test it are under
the timeseries guide.
Smart price prediction
Day-ahead prices only reach as far as tomorrow evening, while the optimizer plans 48 hours. This fills the remainder with a predicted curve for your market zone, so the far end of the horizon is a forecast rather than a repeat of today.
